The low beam above a double garage isn't something most homeowners think about - until it starts to fail. That's exactly what we were dealing with here. The stucco had deteriorated, and once we opened it up, we could see the damage had worked its way into the framing and substrate underneath. Left alone, that kind of problem doesn't stay small.

Here's what the process actually looks like. We set up scaffolding to get proper access to the full width of that beam, stripped out the damaged material, and replaced the compromised wood framing before anything else. Getting the substrate solid is the foundation of a good stucco repair - skip that step and you're just patching over a problem that'll come back.

Once the framing was replaced, we installed metal lath across the full repair area and built the stucco back up in layers. Matching the texture of existing stucco takes real skill. It's one of those things that separates a quality stucco contractor from someone just slapping material on a wall. We work carefully to blend everything so the repair doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

The finished result gives this home a clean, solid look across the entire garage face again. No more deteriorating beam, no more exposed substrate. Just tight, well-executed stucco work that protects the structure and keeps the exterior looking sharp. And if the rest of your exterior needs attention too - we also handle full home exterior painting when you're ready for a complete refresh.
